The Committee of Implementation of Governmental Programmes at the University held an expanded meeting in the Hall of the University Council on 18th March. The meeting was held with the participation of the President of Basra University for Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaabi, the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sami Al-Saadi, Administrative Assistant at the College, Dr. Nasif Al-Abadi, Scientific Assistant, Dr. Ali K. Saddam and the Head of Department of Management and Marketing of Oil and Gas, Mr. Haidar Al-Asadi. They discussed the importance of achieving goals of government programmes and presenting visions and ideas consistent with achieving those goals and applying them on the ground.
Dr. Al-Kaabi emphasized establishment of scientific activities such as workshops and courses and interest in publishing scientific research within the global containers. He also directed the importance of holding scientific conferences as well as graduation research conferences, which would be held in the second semester in college of Engineering for oil and gas and college of Industrial Management for oil and gas.
The President indicated the importance of activating international and local agreements with advanced universities and colleges. The members of the committee presented observations and proposals that would increase the rates of fulfillment in the government programmes.
