Date: 26 April, 2026

The College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, organized a workshop this morning, Sunday, April 26, 2026, on "Financial Literacy for Youth: How to Manage Our Expenses Intelligently." The workshop was presented by students Ali Hussein Hammadi and Hussein Haider Hilal from the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Nada Adnan Jawad. The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Mohammed Al-Tamimi, along with faculty members and students, were in attendance.

This workshop focused on how to make sound financial decisions that young people will not regret. Financial literacy is no longer just a passing decision; Rather, it is a necessity that empowers young people to manage their lives with confidence and build a more stable future. The workshop also clarified the difference between basic needs and desires that can be dispensed with or postponed, highlighting the mistake many young people make when they spend and then think about it later, when the opposite is true. It also presented real-life examples illustrating what basic needs and desires are, and how to manage available funds wisely.
