The Student Activities Unit at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized a workshop on first aid this morning, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society and the University's "Work" Team. The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, and was presented by Qusay Abdullah Khudhair, Hussein Mutashar Shihab, and Haider Kadhim Muhammad. The presenters focused on four important steps:
1- Protection: This means prioritizing the protection of the first aider by securing the scene of the accident to prevent a recurrence of the danger and to ensure their safety.
2-Examination: This involves examining the body of the person who was involved in the accident to diagnose their condition and determine the appropriate course of action.
3- First Aid: This step relies on the second step (assessment) to address the patient's condition as needed, ultimately saving their life.
4- Communication: Informing the relevant authorities about the person who was involved in an accident.
The attendees shared their insights and questions regarding the details that will enable them—in the future—to provide first aid to any situation they encounter.
