As part of the Ramadan Volunteer Work Initiative document, the Student Activities Unit and the Subcommittee for Volunteer Work at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized a volunteer initiative (a Ramadan iftar banquet) for students of Basrah University of Oil and Gas residing in the dormitories (students of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas and the College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering), both male and female, and for both daytime and evening study programs. The event took place on the evening of Sunday, March 1, 2026, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Ubaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, and through voluntary efforts and participation by faculty members of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas. The college’s administrative assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ali Al-Asadi, who joined the students at the iftar banquet, stated that this initiative is annual and aims to support our university students living in the dormitories and to provide them with care and moral support during this blessed month.
