The Deanship of the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas, specifically the University Psychological Counseling Unit, in collaboration with the Basra Gas Company (BGC), organized a special honoring ceremony this morning, Sunday, February 22, 2026. The event celebrated the top three students across all scientific departments for both morning and evening studies, including: the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, the Department of Oil Project Management, and the Department of Oil and Gas Economics.
The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami Obeid Mohammed Al-Tamimi, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Basra Gas Company, Mr. Marfa Kadhim Al-Asadi, presented the top students with the "Shield of Excellence and Distinction." Furthermore, Mr. Marfa provided an additional honorary opportunity: granting these students access to a free safety training course, culminating in a professional Occupational Safety Certificate.
Following speeches by the Dean and the Deputy Commissioner, student Tabarak Fuad delivered a speech on behalf of her fellow top achievers. She expressed her gratitude to the College Deanship and faculty, as well as to the Basra Gas Company for their contribution to the ceremony, their presence, and their ongoing scientific cooperation.
