The “University Psychological Counseling Unit” at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized a scientific workshop titled “Dangers of Cyber Extortion” on the morning of Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in the main conference hall.
The Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Ubaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, attended the workshop, along with the college’s faculty members and students.
The workshop addressed the concept of extortion, the methods used by extortionists against their victims, and ways to deter this deviant group from society. It also discussed the legal aspects under which this intrusive phenomenon is classified within Iraqi society.
