The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Ba'aj, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Naseef Jassim Al-Abadi, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ali Al-Asadi, and a group of faculty members and students from the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas participated in the university garden reforestation campaign this morning, Thursday (November 27, 2025).
This participation is to activate the role of universities in serving the community and achieving the goals of Sustainable Development, in accordance with the Urban Reforestation Guide prepared by the (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research).
This campaign was launched by the (Horticulture Unit) and the (Reforestation Unit at Basra University for Oil and Gas), in cooperation with the (College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas), to reduce negative environmental impacts on civilians by planting trees and shrubs. This effort aims to lower temperatures and create a sustainable, green, and more aesthetically pleasing environment within the university gardens.
