Two instructors, Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Abdul Aziz Mutlaq and Lecturer Dr. Salah Murtada Shaheen, from the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, presented a training course titled: "Mechanisms for Selecting Reputable Publishing Houses and Scientific Journals."
The course began today, Wednesday (November 19, 2025), and continues until tomorrow, Thursday (November 20, 2025). This was in response to an invitation extended to them by the University of Basra / College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
This course represents a knowledge base that assists professors, researchers, and postgraduate students in selecting reputable publishing houses and scientific journals. Its goal is to generally ensure the protection of the Iraqi researcher from fraud, as well as to help them achieve scientific research quality in accordance with the regulations set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
