The book titled (The Concept of Crisis Management in Contemporary Administrative Thought)" was published by Amjad Publishing and Distribution House and Absar Publishers in Jordan. The author is the Administrative Assistant Dean in the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas and the Head of the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Center Unit for Risk and Crisis Management at Basra University for Oil and Gas, (Assist. Prof. Dr. Haider Ali Kareem Al-Asadi). The book consists of 118 pages.
The author dedicated his book to the souls of his late colleagues from the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas: (Professor Dr. Haitham Abdullah Salman, Dr. Hussein Nasser Sharhan, and Assistant Lecturer Bashar Adnan Wahid).
The book comprises three chapters:
* Chapter One, titled (The Concept of Crisis), addresses the concept of crisis in general, as well as the most important causes of crises.
* Chapter Two includes Types of Crises, such as economic, social, psychological, and political crises, reviewing the role of thought in these crises.
* Chapter Three is dedicated to discussing Diagnosis and Management of Crises according to the contemporary vision. In this chapter, the author discusses the characteristics of a crisis, the crisis's circles or lines, the stages of a crisis, methodologies for crisis diagnosis, how to deal with crises, crisis management, the stages of crisis management, the most prominent goals of crisis management, and reviews the importance of thinking in confronting crises.
The book concludes with the results reached by the author.
It is worth noting that this is the fifteenth book in Dr. Haider Ali Al-Asadi's career. He is an author and academic who writes in the fields of thought, culture, and various studies. This book represents a small part of his doctoral thesis, in which he blended the administrative, philosophical, and cultural fields.
