The Presidency of the University of Basrah for Oil and Gas organized a central graduation ceremony for two cohorts: the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas and the College of Petroleum and Gas Engineering. The grand conference hall hosted, on the morning of Monday (November 3, 2025), the graduation of the fifth class of students from the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas — the “Class of Excellence and Creativity” — for the academic year 2024–2025.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, President of the Southern Technical University; Mr. Ali Rahim Al-Fartousi, Oil Expert and Deputy General Director of the Oil Tankers Company; Mr. Najm Abdullah, Director of the Planning Department representing the General Director of Basra Oil Company; Prof. Dr. Diaa Al-Fakeeki, Head of the Academics Syndicate in Basra; Engineer Karar Al-Abadi, Head of the Engineers Syndicate; a representative from the Oil Training Institute; and a representative from the General Company for Ports of Iraq.
During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Sami Obeid Mohammed Al-Tamimi, Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, requested permission from the University President — represented by Prof. Dr. Raad Saleh Mahdi, Secretary of the University Council — to grant the bachelor’s degrees to the graduating students of both the morning and evening studies, each according to their specialization.
