The Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, received an official delegation from the Iraqi University of Sciences, headed by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Kawthar Aboud Ne’ma, along with Dr. Bilal Imad Ubaid, Director of the Legal Affairs Division, and Dr. Baida Habeeb Majoud, Head of the Accounting Department, from Baghdad, during their official visit on the morning of Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
During the meeting, a legal agreement was reached and a twinning memorandum was signed between the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas and the Iraqi University of Sciences, to establish a Department of Oil and Gas Economics parallel to the pioneering department at the College.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Adnan Hadi Jaaz, Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Economics, and discussions focused on strengthening scientific cooperation between the two institutions, as well as aligning the curricula of the first and second academic years with that of the corresponding department in the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, following the twinning agreement reached today.
Both parties expressed their commitment to fostering channels of communication and collaboration in order to provide the highest quality educational experience for students at all levels.
