The Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ali Kareem, and Assistant Lecturer Ali Zaidan participated in a training workshop organized by the Independent High Electoral Commission in cooperation with the Basra Governorate Office on the morning of Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in the Governorate Hall.
Dr. Haider Al-Asadi presented a paper titled: “Media Appearance of Female Candidates and How to Engage with Digital Media,” while Assistant Lecturer Ali Zaidan contributed a paper focusing on the legal framework—laws and regulations governing the electoral process and women’s representation in parliament.
Additionally, Dr. Fatima Hadi Ahmed from the University of Basra for Oil and Gas presented her paper titled: “Effective Communication and Psychological Support for Female Candidates.”
This event aimed to empower women and enhance their active participation in parliamentary decision-making.
