The Department of Oil Project Management at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, under the direct supervision of the Dean, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Mohammed Al-Tamimi, organized a scientific seminar on "Oil Spills."
The presenters were second-year students: Hanin Fares, Ruqayya Aqeel, Ru'a Abdul Ameer, Rasha Methaq, Zahraa Hameed, and Fatima Majed. The papers presented at the seminar were supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Kazem Saddam and Lecturer Rafed Khidher Radhi.
The seminar aimed to identify cases of oil or gas spills from transport pipelines, recognize both sabotage and natural causes, and propose methods for addressing such spills and treating the soil affected by these incidents.
