A dialogue session titled "Safe Spaces for Violence Prevention: Suicide, Cyber Blackmail, and Drugs" was held this morning, Thursday, September 25, 2025, in the Grand Conference Hall of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas.
The session focused on the violence perpetrated by some segments of society and was moderated by Dr. Fatima Hadi Ahmed, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division. The guest speaker was Ms. Tuqa Al-Wa’ili.
Attendees included Dr. Nassif Jassim Al-Abbadi, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Ammar Al-Ba’aj, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, along with faculty members from scientific departments, staff, and students.
Through the discussion, attendees unanimously agreed that dedicating efforts to eliminate the precursors that lead to violence against the self or others is the optimal solution to mitigate the risks and forms of violence in Iraqi society.
