Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ali Al-Asadi, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Oil and Gas Industrial Management, University of Basrah, attended a ceremony held to honor Ahmed Adel Salem, a student in the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, for achieving first place among all University of Basrah participants in the "A Nation Reads" competition.
The event was organized by the Al-Farahidi Street Administration, which extended invitations to the university representative and the top-ranking student from Basrah Governorate.
During the ceremony, Dr. Al-Asadi delivered a speech in which he commended the competition and praised the students’ enthusiasm and initiative in participating. He also highlighted the vital role of reading in the intellectual development of youth.
Student Ahmed Adel Salem also spoke during the event, sharing insights about the competition's format, how to participate, and the broader impact of such initiatives in promoting awareness and intellectual growth among university students.
