The Head of the Oil Accounting Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Sajjad Sadiq Al-Haid, participated in the master's thesis discussion of student Tahani Hamid Majeed from the University of Basra, College of Administration and Economics. Her thesis, titled "Evaluating the Performance of Oil Licensing Rounds Companies in Iraq - A Case Study of Eni Italy," focused on reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating oil licensing rounds contracts in Iraq.
The thesis also highlighted the characteristics of the technical service contracts that Iraq has concluded with foreign companies and presented a set of future options to improve the performance of licensing rounds companies and increase the efficiency of benefiting from oil wealth.
The thesis concluded that oil companies, including Eni Italy, achieved high production efficiency without transferring technology and technical skills to local workers, with this efficiency being solely through profitability and investment.
