By the grace of God, the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas at Basra University of Oil and Gas has obtained approval to establish the Petroleum Accounting Department for the academic year 2025/2026. This was done under the guidance and support of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the President of Basra University of Oil and Gas. This department is the first precise and rare specialization of its kind in Iraq, as it aims to graduate qualified cadres in the field of accounting specializing in the oil sector, contributing to the strengthening of this vital sector throughout Iraq, especially in Basra Governorate, the beating heart of the country's oil wealth. On this occasion, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, expressed his gratitude for the supportive efforts, stressing that this achievement aligns with the requirements of the labor market and the development of the oil industry. He prayed to God to grant success to the students and faculty in this new academic path. It is worth noting that the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas continues its pioneering path in offering qualitative specializations that serve the energy sector, enhancing Iraq's academic and industrial standing.
