The Continuing Education Unit and the Qualification, Employment and Graduate Follow-up Unit at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas launched the first free voluntary development courses during the summer vacation of this year. The aim is to develop graduates' skills and prepare them to enter the labor market. The series of courses began with an English language skills course, lectured by Assistant Lecturer Mays Fariq Shaker, Assistant Lecturer Hazem Eidan Salem, and Assistant Lecturer Saif Barzan Nishion. The course began on Thursday evening, July 10, 2025, online via Zoom. The course is a blended learning model. The lectures presented a systematic vision for developing graduates from the first level onwards, in preparation for their qualifications for the labor market, as English has become one of the most important skills required for employment in foreign oil companies operating in Basra and other governorates. Note that the series of courses includes (administrative, accounting, legal skills, computer skills, professional ethics, official correspondence, etc.).
