Under the patronage of the President of University of Basra for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, the Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the College organized a training course entitled "Principles of Administrative Investigation" on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
The course was attended by the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, and a number of faculty members and university affiliates.
The course, which featured three lectures delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ali Al-Asadi, Administrative Assistant at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Assistant Lecturer Ali Zaidan Qasim, and the Legal Advisor Muhannad Sabti Kazim, highlighted understanding the legal framework, planning and procedures required, and the framework for implementing important and necessary administrative investigations in government institutions.
It also focused on analyzing and evaluating evidence, ensuring integrity and impartiality in all matters, promoting justice and transparency, improving accountability and compliance with laws, preventing violations, protecting the institution's reputation, increasing work efficiency and the competence of its employees, and creating an environment free of all legal violations.
The course emphasized the importance of education and awareness in the institution's programs and cooperation with government employees and oversight bodies. It highlighted the important role of government employees in exerting intensive efforts to achieve excellence, transparency, integrity, and impartiality in the performance of assigned tasks and duties, and adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
The course also addressed the development of all administrative staff through committee work mechanisms related to financial and legal aspects. The course came within the framework of the university's and its formations' efforts to raise the level of legal and administrative awareness among all members, thus enhancing their skills and capabilities in serving the institution.
At the conclusion of the course, the lecturers listened to the comments and questions of the attendees, especially those working in the committees and the accounting, auditing, and legal departments, who enriched the training course with their contributions and clarifications.
