Under the patronage of the President of University of Basra for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Al-Kaabi, and the supervision of the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, a specialized workshop was held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in the conference hall of the college.
Assistant Lecturer Kazim Rasan Abdul Sahib gave a detailed explanation of the necessity and importance of maintaining the confidentiality of job information, particularly regarding exam questions, and the prevention of leaking them, as that constituted a crime punishable by law.
Dr. Imad Fawzi Youssef also outlined the legal provisions applicable to such crimes and the penalties stipulated under Iraqi law, and analyzed those provisions that criminalize the leaking of official information.
The workshop was attended by a large number of professors and employees at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas.
Before the workshop concluded, the floor was opened for discussion and questions from the professors on the vital and important topic. In conclusion, the Deanship of the college expressed its thanks and gratitude to the lecturers and the distinguished attendees, hoping for more of those awareness workshops in order to create a generous educational environment.
