Udai Hussein Ali, a lecturer at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, published a scientific research paper in the American Journal of Economics and Business Administration entitled “Management Information Systems Integration in the Oil and Gas Industry”.
Integrating management information systems in the oil and gas industry to achieve consistency and enhance coordination between industrial activities in the oil and gas sector. It has become essential for management information systems (MIS) in oil fields to work effectively with manufacturing operations.
Integrated manufacturing (CIM) refers to the management of production operations using computers. One of the direct results of the integration is the ability for operations to be interconnected and for decisions and actions to be made with speed and accuracy. That was achieved by using an MES system to implement manufacturing, along with an ERP system for enterprise resource planning, which facilitates communication between operations and the resources required to implement the production plan.
