Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the Volunteer Work Committee at Basra University for Oil and Gas, organized the first educational and awareness seminar on the importance of volunteer work for fourth-year morning students in Oil and Gas Management and Marketing Department.
The seminar was in line with the directives of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority/Student Activities Department at Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to spread the culture of volunteer work among students and enhance their role in serving the community.
The awareness seminar was held on Monday, March 17, 2025. Dr. Haider Ali Al-Asadi, Chairman of the Volunteer Work Committee at the university, delivered a lecture. He explained the benefits of volunteer work at both the personal and societal levels, highlighting the opportunities available to students to participate in volunteer work. He explained that volunteer work contributes to strengthening partnerships between universities and volunteer organizations, maximizing the positive impact of such work that serves the community.
