In a step aimed at strengthening academic and research cooperation, College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas signed a twinning and cooperation agreement with Shatt al-Arab University. This agreement aims to unify efforts between the two institutions to develop curricula, exchange academic expertise, and promote joint scientific research.
The signing ceremony took place on Thursday, March 6, 2025. The agreement was signed on behalf of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas by the Dean of the College, Professor Sami Obaid al-Tamimi, while on behalf of Shatt al-Arab University, it was signed by Professor Muhammad Abboud Taher, the Dean of College of Administration and Economics.
The ceremony was attended by the President of Shatt al-Arab University, Professor Taher Mohsen Mansour, and a number of prominent academic figures from both institutions. Both parties emphasized the importance of the partnership in achieving the goals of higher education and developing student competencies.
The agreement included several provisions, including the exchange of academic resources, the organization of joint scientific conferences, the activation of summer training programs for students, and cooperation in supervising graduation projects.
In conclusion, Professor Dr. Sami Al-Tamimi presented the shield of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas to the President of Shatt Al-Arab University, Professor Dr. Taher Mohsen Mansour.
