The Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, Scientific Assistant Dr. Nassif Jassim, Administrative Assistant, Dr. Haider Al-Asadi, and the Head of Department of Oil and Gas Economics, Dr. Adnan Hadi, participated in a seminar organized by Central Bank of Iraq and Association of Banks in cooperation with Aden Organization, to discuss ways of activate the community and institutional role.
The seminar aimed to explore the vital role that financial institutions and community organizations could play in addressing the social, environmental, and economic issues facing Iraqi society. Participants discussed a wide range of topics, including developing financial education programs, creating job opportunities, and investing capital in local communities.
During the seminar, the Dean of the college emphasized the importance of concerted efforts between different sectors to address the challenges facing the country. He also noted the important role that universities could play in providing knowledge and research expertise to help find sustainable solutions.
The Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Economics emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to activate the community and institutional role. He proposed developing clear strategic plans to ensure coordinated efforts among all stakeholders. Scientific Assistant, Dr. Naseef Jassim, also reviewed the successful experiences of some financial institutions in the field of social work, emphasizing the importance of exchanging best practices across various sectors and the importance and active role of Central Bank in sustainable development.
Administrative Assistant highlighted the pivotal role of community institutions in engaging local individuals in development efforts. He called for building strong partnerships between those institutions, universities, and other organizations with the aim of maximizing societal impact.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the participants emphasized the need to continue dialogue and cooperation in order to develop comprehensive recommendations to strengthen the role of society and institutions in Iraq.
