Oil and Gas Projects Department at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized a field trip to Basra Gas Company on Monday, February 24, 2025, for third-year morning students and second-year evening students. The trip aimed to learn about safety and natural gas extraction methods.
The students were accompanied by several professors, including: Dr. Mustafa Abbas, assist lecturer Ayat Raad, and assist lecturer Ghufran Ali. They were accompanied by assist lecturer Khaled Matar Al-Diwan from Basra Gas Company, who explained to the students the most important safety procedures and their importance to workers in the gas sector. He, in turn, led the students on a field trip to the company's facilities to learn about the gas extraction techniques used and the importance of students' knowledge of these procedures.
The field trip provided a valuable opportunity for the students to learn about the scientific processes involved in gas extraction, enhance their understanding of safety methods, and gain scientific and practical experience.
