On Thursday, February 20, 2025, the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, conducted an inspection visit to the college's students living in the dormitories affiliated with University of Basra. He was accompanied by Assist Professor Mays Fariq, Head of the Dormitory Affairs Division at University of Basra for Oil and Gas. He was received by the Director of the Dormitory Affairs Division at University of Basra, unit directors, and a number of department heads and students.
The visit included an inspection tour of the dormitories and dining rooms. The Dean reviewed the level of services provided to students and listened to their comments and inquiries. During the tour, the Dean discussed the students to focus on their studies and work diligently, emphasizing the importance of preserving dorm property and maintaining cleanliness and order. He praised the role of the dormitory administration in providing a suitable environment for the college's students.
The Dean was accompanied on his visit by a number of professors, department heads, and committees supervising students in the dormitories. A specialized committee from College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas also visited the dormitories (for female students).
At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean thanked the dormitories' officials for their efforts in serving the students, emphasizing continued communication and cooperation to develop the services provided to students.
