Under the patronage of the respected President of the University of Basra for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad, the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas, in cooperation with the Aamalou Student Team, organized this evening, Monday, February 17, 2025, the annual central celebration to commemorate the birth of the savior of humanity, Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance). The ceremony was moderated by Mr. Muntadhar Mustafa. The event was opened with verses from the Holy Quran recited by the international Quran reciter Haider Ali Al-Mousawi. This was followed by a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs. This was followed by a speech by the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, in which he praised the efforts of the students in organizing these events, stressing the importance of drawing lessons and morals from such occasions. This was followed by a lecture by His Eminence Sayyid Murtada Al-Modarresi, who congratulated the Islamic world on the occasion of the birth of the savior of humanity, Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance). He urged the students to adhere to the values and principles that bring joy to the heart of our Master, the Master of the Age, which are in compliance with the Sharia of Muhammad. The student should be a role model in morals, knowledge, and excellence in all fields. After that, the gathering continued with the participation of a group of poets and reciters who presented their poems that express the great joy of this blessed occasion, including the singer (Hamza Al-Daraji).
