The Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized a scientific field visit for first-year students to the headquarters of Basra Gas Company this morning, Thursday, February 13, 2025, in order to view the company's work and the latest developments in its work. The students were accompanied by the rapporteur of the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, Lecturer Mustafa Taha Yassin, and the lecturers Dr. Marwa Ibrahim Zaid, Assistant Lecturer Rasul Issam Nouri, and Assistant Lecturer Salwa Hazem Khalaf. The company presented a detailed review of its work and the mechanism of gas production, processing, and marketing. The Director of the Department of Commercial Excellence and Opportunities Management, Mr. Ahmed Al-Atrabi, Head of Engineers Firas Ibrahim Al-Mansouri, Head of Researchers Khaled Matar Al-Diwan, and Engineer Hanin Abdul Karim Al-Taama gave presentations in which they explained the processing of raw gas, as well as the mechanisms of professional project management and the distribution of tasks in it, and reviewed a success story and how a student can mature academically and chart his path to success in the field of the oil and gas industry. The lecturers listened to questions And students’ inquiries in order to enhance the partnership between academic scientific aspects and applied fields in the field of work.
