Continuing Education Division and Computer Center at the Presidency of Basra University of Oil and Gas, in cooperation with College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, organized a scientific course entitled "Optimal Selection Criteria for Reputable Scientific Journals for Academic Researchers."
The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Abdul Aziz and Dr. Salah Murtadha on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The professors addressed the most important criteria used in selecting reputable journals, searching academic databases before selecting a journal, verifying the relevance of scientific journals, and ensuring that scientific research was consistent with the journal's specialization.
The lecturers also warned all researchers against falling into the trap of fake journals that do not adhere to scientific and academic evaluation standards. The course was attended by a large number of newly appointed teaching staff at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, who expressed their thanks and appreciation to the lecturers for holding the course, given its importance in publishing their research and selecting reputable international journals according to the standards and evaluation addressed by Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Abdul Aziz and Dr. Salah Murtada.
