Under the patronage of the President of Basra University of Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Hafez Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Muhammad Al-Tamimi, the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division at Basra University of Oil and Gas, organized a workshop entitled "Applying National Standards for Accrediting Management and Economics Colleges Programs in Iraq" this morning, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in the conference hall of the college in order to achieve excellence and sustainable development in the scientific departments, which discussed the national standards for accrediting management and economics colleges programs in Iraq and the most important methods and standards that distinguish the scientific departments. The Head of the Oil and Gas Marketing Management Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Ali Ahmed, lectured in it. The workshop included the most important standards and foundations set by the scientific and technical committees in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to accredit national programs of curricula and scientific vocabulary that are consistent with the quality of the scientific departments in the college and market requirements on the one hand and academic requirements on the other hand. The workshop was attended by the heads of scientific departments and a group of faculty members in the college working in the accreditation, quality and specialization committees. The workshop clarified the standard of adequacy of specialized academic staff and their distribution to the specializations required to raise the level of education and develop it in terms of ensuring quality and distinguished performance, the standard of curriculum management and ensuring learning, the standard of curriculum
