College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas at University of Basra for Oil and Gas signed a twinning and joint cooperation agreement with Alamara University College, in order to strengthen the bonds of joint scientific cooperation in various academic fields.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday 1/22/2025, at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, where the College was represented by the Dean, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, and Alamara University College, was represented by the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Hamid Hassan Taher.
The twinning and joint cooperation agreement came with the aim of raising the level of the two colleges and making them at the level of prestigious colleges and in order to increase the bonds of cooperation between them and open new horizons of cooperation in academic fields and raise the scientific and research level.
The twinning and joint cooperation agreement included coordinating efforts in the field of developing vocabulary and unifying curricula for similar specializations and exchanging books and sources within the joint specializations and cooperation in the field of summer training and supervising graduation projects for students of the final grades and in the field of scientific research and working to conduct joint specialized research and publish in journals within global containers and evaluate research.
The agreement also included the use of specialized laboratories for scientific research and the use of sources, books, scientific journals, letters and dissertations. In the field of student activities, it was agreed to exchange scientific visits and hold periodic scientific debates between students of the corresponding specializations and hold joint sports, cultural and scientific activities, in addition to organizing exhibitions for student scientific products.
The signing ceremony was attended by members of the Board of Directors of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas. At the end of the signing ceremony, the two sides exchanged commemorative symbols of the logos of the two institutions.
