Student Activities Unit, in cooperation with the (Work) Student Team at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, organized a memorial council to commemorate the martyrdom of Lady Zahra (peace be upon her) under the slogan "From religious occasions we derive giving to help our brothers in Lebanon and Palestine" and under the patronage of the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, on Tuesday evening, 11/12/2024.
The council's activities began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter Youssef Al-Shahat, followed by the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon. After that, a film was shown about the martyr of the resistance, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, followed by a speech by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami Al-Tamimi, in which he spoke about the educational and moral role that they must draw inspiration from the life of Lady Al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
A religious lecture was given by the preacher Sayyed Jaafar Al-Gharabi who spoke about the values inspired by the lives of the prophets and the family of the Prophet (peace be upon them all), stressing the importance of young people’s interest in their religious and moral commitment in order to protect themselves intellectually from all doubts, and he explained the great role of Lady Al-Zahra in the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).
Al-Gharabi explaining that Al-Zahra was the link between prophethood and imamate and was one of the greatest women in human history and her biography deserves to be read and stopped to learn from her. The Dean of the College, Dr. Al-Tamimi, honored both the preacher and the Quran reciter for their efforts in contributing to the success of the memorial council. At the end of the council, a banquet was held for the college students in the evening study.
