Department of Oil and Gas Economics, in cooperation with Continuing Education Unit at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, organized a training workshop entitled (Voting spoken and written words in the Arabic language) on Monday 4/11/2024. The workshop was attended by Assistant Lecturer Amira Qasim, under the patronage of the President of Basra University for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, and in the presence of the Scientific Assistant at the University, Professor Dr. Ammar Kazim, and the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Naseef Jassim Al-Abbadi.
The lecture explained the most important linguistic matters in official correspondence, including the controls for writing comma, the rules for writing numbers, common errors in official correspondence and correcting them, and how to address some common spelling errors in official books. The lecturer listened to the interventions and questions of the attendees, who all emphasized the importance of paying attention to the subject of the Arabic language in all Official transactions.
