Under the patronage of the President of Basra University for Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Halil Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas held a seminar this morning, Tuesday, October 29, entitled Breast Cancer. The seminar was moderated by Assistant Lecturer Rasul Issam Nouri. Dr. Sabreen Majeed Makki, a family medicine specialist at Basra Health Department, and Dr. Enas Subaih, a breast disease specialist at Al-Sadr Teaching Hospital, lectured in this seminar. Dr. Enas revealed the early symptoms of breast cancer and how to prevent and treat it. While Dr. Sabreen Majeed explained the symptoms and causes of this disease and how to avoid it and the necessity of preventing it through early detection and the importance of exercising, maintaining a healthy weight and following a healthy diet to reduce the incidence of this disease, in addition to the necessity of avoiding smoking, adopting breastfeeding and being careful about products that Body contact and periodic examination that reduces the risk of this disease. At the end of the symposium, the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas presented certificates of thanks and appreciation as well as commemorative shields in appreciation of the efforts made by Dr. Enas Subaih and Dr. Sabreen Majeed. He also thanked and praised the head of the Women's Affairs Unit at the college, Assistant Lecturer Rasul Essam. The symposium witnessed questions and inquiries from the female students who attended the symposium.
