Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, in cooperation with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, organized a ceremony to honor the graduates of the college for the morning and evening studies for the academic year 2023/2024, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in the Grand Conference Hall, under the patronage of the President of University of Basra for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaabi, and under the supervision of the Dean, Professor Dr. Sami Al-Tamimi, and the activities of the ceremony were managed by Dr. Fatima Hadi Ahmed and Assistant Lecturer Israa Faleh Ghali.
The activities of the honoring ceremony began with verses from the Holy Qur’an and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon, then a speech by the Dean of the College, Dr. Al-Tamimi, who congratulated the students for reaping the fruits of their hard work for years of study and stressed that their efforts produced the distinction and excellence, which represents the actual contribution to the country’s renaissance with specialized youth energies.
Then, Sheikh Abdul Bari Al-Rubaie gave a speech in which he reviewed the importance of reviving the country and improving its reality through distinguished academic youth, and how much the country needs our youth armed with knowledge and specialization. The speech of the first graduate of the college (Shadan Abdul-Muayyad Hamoud) in which she praised her professors and the families of the top students and their efforts with them from the elementary stage until graduation from the college, indicating that the honor represents a great moral support for the beginning of a new professional life in the labor market.
After that, the honoring activities began for the top students in each scientific department for the morning and evening studies, and they were honored in turn by the Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, the Administrative Assistant Dr. Haider Ali, the representative of the Intellectual Affairs Department at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Mr. Muhammad Al-Jaberi, Sheikh Abdul-Bari Al-Rubaie, the Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Ali Al-Rashed, and the Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Economics, Dr. Adnan Hai Jaaz, as gifts were presented from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. On the sidelines of the ceremony, the heads of the scientific departments and the former rapporteurs were honored for their efforts throughout their tenure after the end of their term.
The former Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, Dr. Adi Hussein Ali, and the Rapporteur of the Department of Management, Dr. Haider Ali , the former Head of the Oil Project Management Department, Lecturer Rafid Khader Radhi, and the Head of the Oil Project Management Department, Dr. Abbas Ali Juma, were also honored. The Head of the Oil and Gas Economics Department, Assistant Professor Helen Nima Hattab, and the Head of the Assistant Professor Hassan Amer Ibrahim were also honored. A number of those in charge of the success of the ceremony were also honored, including Lecturer, Israa Faleh Ghali, Dr. Fatima Hadi Ahmed, Assistant Professor Abbas Zaki, and Mr. Muhammad Baqir Jassim. The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein also honored the Dean of the College for his efforts in serving the college and developing its scientific reality.
