Women's Affairs Division at the Presidency of Basra University for Oil and Gas, in cooperation with Women's Affairs Unit at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, organized an awareness initiative and campaign regarding (Pink October, Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Month) on Tuesday 10/22/2024, under the supervision of the Dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi.
The head of Women's Affairs Unit at the college, Assistant Lecturer Rasul Issam Nouri, explained that the international month for awareness of breast cancer or syphilis for October is a global initiative that was launched internationally in October 2006, as sites around the world adopt the color pink as their logo in order to raise awareness of the dangers of breast cancer. Campaigns and activities are also carried out in various countries to raise awareness, support, and provide information and assistance against this disease.
