College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas participated, represented by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi, the Scientific Assistant, Dr. Naseef Jassim Al-Abadi, the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Haider Ali Karim, the Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Ali Al-Rashed, and the Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Economics, Dr. Adnan Hadi Jaaz, in attending the activities of the launch of the first international scientific conference of College of Oil and Gas Engineering, which was held on Sunday 10/20/2024, in the hall of the Oil Cultural Center under the slogan "Diverse Energy Resources, a Power for the Renaissance of the Country" and under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the President of Basra University for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Halil Al-Kaabi, and the follow-up of the Dean of the College of Oil and Gas Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul-Amir Jassim.
The conference activities began with verses of the Holy Qur’an and Iraqi national anthem and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine, then a speech of the President of Basra University for Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Kaabi, and a speech by the Dean Dr. Abbas Abdul Amir , and a speech by the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Scientific Assistant at the University, Prof. Dr. Ammar Kazim Al-Baaj.
After that, the conference supporters and some committee members were honored, as well as holding discussion sessions in three different halls, where the research discussed important topics in the field of oil and gas industry.
