A lecturer from the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas publishes a scientific research on strategies to enhance the efficiency of (financial management) in the public sector in Iraq

Assistant lecturer Rusul Issam Nouri, a lecturer at the College of Industrial Management of Oil and Gas, published a scientific research on (Strategies to enhance the efficiency of (financial management) in the public sector in Iraq: Lessons learned from international best practices) in the International Journal of Studies in Business Management Economics and Strategic. The American Journal of Studies in Business Management, Economics and Strategic, which is one of the prestigious international academic journals, published this research in the third volume of the tenth issue for the current month of October 2024. Issam discussed in her research the implementation and results of adopting international best practices in financial management in the Iraqi Ministry of Health, focusing on three main strategies: accrual accounting, integrated financial management information systems, and participatory budgeting. The aim of the study was to improve the accuracy of financial reports, improve transparency, and increase stakeholder satisfaction. The practical experience has also shown significant improvements, including increasing budget commitment from 65% to 85%, decreasing financial reporting errors from 15% to 5%, and increasing satisfaction Stakeholders from 40% to 70%. These results suggest that with the right adjustments, these global strategies can be successfully applied to improve public financial management in Iraq, contributing to increased economic stability and public confidence.
