In support of the heroic forces in Palestine and Lebanon and their people, men, elders, women and children, and in defense of the nation's issues and sacrifices, College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas at Basra University for Oil and Gas organized a solidarity stand against Zionist brutality on Wednesday, September 25. The solidarity stand included a speech by the Administrative Assistant at the College, Dr. Haider A. Karim, during which the statement of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, was read, in which he called on the universities to stand by the Lebanese people. Then came the speech of Dr. Adnan H. Jaaz, speaking on behalf of the university's faculty, during which he announced the start of the voluntary humanitarian donation campaign in coordination with the Popular Mobilization Authority and religious shrines. The Holy Shrine and representatives of the supreme religious authority, and the stand included words and poems urging support for the Lebanese and Palestinian people and raising the Lebanese and Palestinian flags. At the end of the stand everyone recited Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq, and immediately after that a humanitarian donation campaign was launched in support of the brotherly Lebanese people who are facing a fierce war against the brutal Zionist death machine.
