A Lecturer from College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas Publishes a Scientific Research on (The impact of skills development and training on job performance - a case study in the industrial sector in Iraq / Basra)

(The Dutch journal / Amsterdam) International Journal of Strategic Management and Economic Studies (IJSMES), which is one of the prestigious international academic journals, published a scientific research by a lecturer at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq A. Al-Saadoun. The research was entitled (The impact of skills development and training on job performance in the industrial sector (Iraq / Basra). The main objective of this study is to test the impact of skills development and training on job performance in the industrial sector in Basra, with a special focus on the links between skills and competencies, employee perception, implementable visions and overall job performance. Information was collected from 300 employees using structured data. Important factors such as skill mastery stages, employee happiness, effectiveness of training received and self-assessment of job performance were also measured. Statistical analysis indicated that employees have a good opinion of their skills and competencies through a significant number that reflects high levels of job performance. The regression analysis test and the correlation test between the dependent and independent variables were used, as well as the ANOVA test. The results showed a close relationship between the dimensions of the independent variable and the dependent variable for the above research title in the industrial sector in Iraq/Basra. The results also indicate that training programs for individuals working in the industrial sector are necessary to increase employee efficiency, enhance personal skills development, and ensure mastery of the tasks to be accomplished. The recommendations showed through the analysis of the results that companies should support the professional development of their employees by providing them with continuing education opportunities, allocating technological resources for training, and promoting a healthy work environment to achieve the company's goals. Companies also have golden opportunities to increase employee productivity and achieve their goals.
