College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas at Basra University for Oil and Gas signed a twinning and joint cooperation agreement with College of Management and Economics / Warith Al-Anbiya Private University in order to strengthen the bonds of joint scientific cooperation in various academic fields. The agreement was signed on Thursday, August 29, at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas. College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas was represented by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami O. Al-Tamimi, and College of Management and Economics at Warith Al-Anbiya Private University was represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Awad K. Al-Khalidi. The twinning and joint cooperation agreement came with the aim of raising the level of both colleges and making them at the level of prestigious colleges in order to increase the bonds of cooperation between them and open new horizons of cooperation in academic fields and raise the scientific and research level. The twinning and joint cooperation agreement included coordinating efforts in the field of developing vocabulary and unifying curricula for similar specializations, exchanging books and sources within the joint specializations, cooperating in the field of summer training, supervising graduation projects for final year students, and in the field of scientific research, working on conducting joint specialized research and publishing in journals within global containers, evaluating research, holding joint scientific conferences, joint supervision and discussions for postgraduate students. The terms of the agreement also included working on using specialized laboratories for scientific research and using sources, books, scientific journals, messages and dissertations. In the field of student activities, there was an agreement to exchange scientific visits and hold periodic scientific debates between students of similar specializations, and to hold joint sports, cultural and scientific activities, in addition to organizing exhibitions for student scientific products. The signing ceremony was attended by members of the Board of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, as well as the Head of the Missions and Cultural Relations Division at Basra University for Oil and Gas, Dr. Maysaa N. Shihab. At the end of the signing ceremony, both sides exchanged commemorative symbols of the logos of two institutions.
