College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas at Basra University for Oil and Gas signed a twinning and joint cooperation agreement with College of Management and Economics / Warith Al-Anbia Private University in order to strengthen the bonds of joint scientific cooperation in various academic fields. The agreement was signed on Thursday, August 29, at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas. The College was represented by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sami Al-Tamimi, and the other College was represented by Prof. Dr. Awad K. Al-Khalidi. The twinning and joint cooperation agreement came with the aim of raising the level of the both colleges and making them at the level of prestigious colleges and in order to increase the bonds of cooperation between them and open new horizons of cooperation in academic fields and raise the scientific and research level. The twinning and joint cooperation agreement included coordinating efforts in the field of developing vocabulary and unifying curricula for similar specializations and exchanging books and sources within the joint specializations and cooperation in the field of summer training and supervising graduation projects for students of the final grades and in the field of scientific research and working on conducting research Joint specialization and publishing in journals within global containers and evaluating research and holding joint scientific conferences and joint supervision and discussions for graduate students. The terms of the agreement also included working on using specialized laboratories for scientific research and using sources, books, scientific journals, messages and dissertations. In the field of student activities, there was an agreement on exchanging scientific visits and holding periodic scientific debates between students of corresponding specializations and holding joint sports, cultural and scientific activities in addition to organizing exhibitions of student scientific productions. The signing ceremony was attended by members of the Board of Directors of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, as well as the Head of the Missions and Cultural Relations Department at Basra University for Oil and Gas, Dr. Maysaa N. Shahab. At the end of the signing ceremony, both sides exchanged commemorative symbols of the logos of the two institutions.
