The book entitled (Fiscal and Monetary Policies in Light of Oil Shocks) was issued by Al-Amjad Publishing and Distribution House, Kafa'at Al-Ma'rifa Printing, Publishing and Distribution House, and Al- Absar House in (Jordan). The book was issued by the Administrative Assistant at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Dr. Adnan H. Al-Shammari, in collaboration with the lecturer at University of Basra, Dr. R. Al-Salem. The book came in (269 pages) and included four chapters. The first chapter was entitled (The Concept of Fiscal and Monetary Policies across Different Economic Schools), the second chapter (The Effectiveness of Fiscal and Monetary Policies for an Open Economy), the third chapter (Oil Shocks: Concept and Types). the fourth chapter (The role of oil in building the economy of Iraq), the fifth chapter (Fiscal policy in Iraq (1973-2019), the sixth (Monetary policy in Iraq for the period 1973-2019) and the seventh chapter entitled (Modern econometric models: vector, the eighth (Using the (DSEG) model to measure the effectiveness of fiscal and monetary policies in Iraq in light of oil shocks, while the ninth was devoted to (Analyzing the impact of oil shocks on selected Iraqi macroeconomic variables).
At the end of the book, specialized scientific visions were presented by the authors on the solutions that enable fiscal and monetary policies to absorb the impact of oil shocks and increase their ability to confront them in the future and reduce their impact on the economy. The book is an important enrichment for the specialized economic library and for all researchers in that field.
