Published by the American Journal of Economics and Business Management which is considered one of the world's most serious academic journals, a scientific research for the teaching staff at the Faculty of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Dr. Abdul Razak A. Al-Saadoun, and the research was entitled "The effect of leadership development on the development of human resources and organizational performance in the oil and gas sector in Basra. As the main objective of that study is to test the effect of leadership development on the development of human resources and organizational performance in the oil and gas sector in Basra and the research made a constructive contribution through the collection of data through a scientific methodology in which a structured survey was used including (25) questions. The answers to the form were evaluated through a five-point Likert scale that ranged from 1 to 5. For a sample size of (400) individuals, a total of (375) correct answers were analyzed and collected and analyzed using SPSS. The statistical description and the reliability or credibility test by Pearson correlation, the multiple linear regression and the implementation of the ANOVA selection were used. The results showed a strong positive relationship between the enhancement of leadership skills - human resources - and organizational functions and the results emphasized the importance of the actions taken by leaders in order to promote the growth of companies in the oil and gas sector while ensuring compliance with regulations.
