The dean of College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Prof. Dr. Sami O. Al-Tamimi, participated in the chairmanship of the discussion committee for a master's thesis examining the analysis of the relationship between foreign currencies in the foreign exchange system on Wednesday, the 28th, and the master's thesis was discussed in the Department of Economics for the Faculty of Management and Economics at the University of Basra and the thesis was entitled (Analysis and study of the mutual roles between the US dollar and the Chinese yuan and their effect in the international monetary system) by the student Ayat A. Jassim, and the thesis aimed to find out the effect of foreign currency trading on the stability of the international monetary system, and the thesis concluded that the monetary system depends on the US dollar and that leads to major economic crises as a result of over-reliance on one currency and despite that the dollar still dominates the international exchange, and the letter recommended the need to prevent a currency war between the dollar and the Chinese yuan to use new currencies in international settlements.
