College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas Organizes the Annual Festival on the Occasion of Shaabaniya Births

The Department of Oil Projects Management and the Department of Oil and Gas Management and Marketing (for morning and evening studies) organized the first annual festival on the occasion of Shaabani births, on Tuesday the twenty-seventh in the central conference hall at the university, in the presence of both the scientific assistant at the university, Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Baaj, and the administrative assistant at the university, Professor Dr. Ahmed Nasih. The festival’s fortune-teller, Amir Al-Hashemi, was in charge, and the festival’s activities began with the reading of noble verses from The Glorious Qur’an was recited by Sheikh (Muhammad Baqir), and everyone read Surat Al-Fatiha while standing, then a brief lecture by the preacher Sheikh Jabbar Al-Halafi, in which he spoke about the personality of the awaited Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his appearance and facilitate his exit) and the philosophy of waiting. Then came the section of poetic readings regarding Shaabani births, as it was presented Poems by poets (Ali Shalal, Rajab Al-Yasiri, and Hassan Jassim), then religious stanzas presented in the voice of Al-Radoud Muhammad Al-Khaqani, Munir Abbas, and Sajjad Abdel-Hassan. At the conclusion of the festival, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami Al-Tamimi, honored the poets, pioneers, and contributors to the activities of the festival. On the sidelines of the festival, the two students, Tabarak Faraj, from the Oil Projects Management Department, and Hamza Abbas, from the Oil and Gas Management and Marketing Department, were honored for their important role in the Young Warriors Academy, after the academy director (optical pharmacist, Tala Al-Khalil), received the title of the nation’s first hope maker.
