College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas Organizes a Symposium on Perverse Ideas and Ways to Address them Legally, Psychologically and Religiously.

Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas/Basra University for Oil and Gas organized a scientific symposium on perverse thoughts and ways to address them from a legal, psychological, and religious standpoint, on Tuesday, 1/30/2024, in the conference hall and under the patronage of the President of the university and under the supervision and presence of the Dean of the College. The symposium was moderated by the head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, Assistant Lecturer Israa F. Ghali. The symposium included the religious topic and was presented by Mr. Muhammad Al-Jabri, speaking about behavioral perversion. Causes and treatment in light of the teachings of Islamic religion and the Holy Qur’an. As for the psychological aspect, the lecturer from the College of Education for Girls, Professor Dr. Hana Abd al-Nabi, gave a lecture in which she reviewed the social effects of perverse ideas and the role of cultural elites and scientific competencies in protecting society from perverse ideas. As for the third and final aspect, Dr. Abdul-Ali Hamid spoke about the legal legislation against preverse behavior in light of Iraqi law. The symposium witnessed an emphasis on the necessity of treating such preversion with educational guidance methods and working to strengthen the culture of Iraqi youth in a way that protects them from all those suspicions that may harm us as an Iraqi society. Its civilization and culture extend back thousands of years, and the symposium witnessed interventions from students and teachers. The Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas honored the researchers at the conclusion of the symposium’s activities, appreciating their scientific efforts in educating and guiding students and Iraqi youth in general.
