Women’s Empowerment Unit at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas Participates in a Meeting Organized by UNICEF on Social Work in Iraq

The official in charge of Women’s Empowerment Unit, Miss. Russel E. Nouri, attended the meeting held by UNICEF with a number of civil society organizations and with the participation of Women’s Empowerment, Family and Children’s Affairs Department in Basra Governorate Office, which was in person and via closed-circuit television to discuss (equitable and comprehensive curricula). In the field of social work in Iraq, the meeting was held at the UNICEF office in the south on Thursday, the eighteenth of January, in the presence of representatives from education and the State House for Orphan Care. The meeting discussed several topics related to methods of providing protection for children and discussing the needs of the concerned departments. With child care, preparing executive awareness programs that enhance the protection, working on cultural activities, preparing social researchers, and developing social research capabilities in order to provide the necessary protection in community work.
