Based on the cooperation between state institutions to make the elections process for the local governorate councils in Basra successful for the year 2023, a number of lecturers at College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas participated with Independent High Electoral Commission by working in various electoral centers in Basra Governorate as polling day employees (the day of voting on choosing members of Basra Governorate Council) after undergoing previous training by the senior staff of the Commission in Basra. This step comes in response to the national mission of working in polling centers and making the voting process successful in various regions of Basra, as a contribution to the support of the Independent High Electoral Commission and a commitment and keenness to shape the future of Iraq in accordance with the principles of the constitution and the country best interests.
