College of Oil and Gas Industrial Management for Oil and Gas Organizes the fourth Annual Cultural Festival under the Slogan (Al-Aqsa Flood is a Message of Awareness, Culture and Resistance for all Generations)

College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas organized the fourth annual cultural festival under the slogan (Al-Aqsa Flood is a Message of Awareness, Culture and Resistance for all Generations). The festival activities were launched on the morning of Wednesday, the sixth of December, in the gardens of Basra University for Oil and Gas, under the patronage of the President of Basra University for Oil and Gas, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hilal. And under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sami Obaid Al-Tamimi. The festival included a book fair, a plastic arts exhibition, and charity market. The opening segment was cut by the President of the University, Dr. Al-Kaabi. He toured the corridors and activities of the festival, and included a ceremony. The opening speech was delivered by the Dean of the College, Dr. Sami Al-Tamimi, during which he praised the efforts of the committees organizing the festival’s activities and stressed that the college supports all those with ideas and small projects in order to enhance the ability and potential of visual youth, whether they were students or graduates. After that, the child Ruqaya Haider read a poem in classical Arabic dedicated to the people of Palestine. In turn, the director of media and government communication at the university, Mr. Haider Ali, indicated that the festival included entertainment and artistic activities for children and students, as well as sections of Iraqi heritage, in addition to a charity market for small business owners, young men and women in Basra, in addition to a special corner for the creativity of talented university students in the various plastic arts. Gifts were also distributed to the children participating in the festival to stimulate and support their talents. The festival continued for Wednesday and Thursday and for the morning and evening shifts to provide the opportunity for the largest number of attendees.
